Post Mortem

Post Mortem is the noise-project of the Dutch artist Jan Kees Helms.

In 1987 he starts this musical project and was inspired by The Haters. He just wanted to make noise with the energy of hc-punk. In 1992 Post Mortem ended a silent death.
In 2009 Jan Kees Helmse restarts the project to make compositions with fieldrecordings, sounds of internet/television, machines, feed-backs and analog synthesizers.

Nowadays Post Mortem is about listening to sounds without any filter. In real life people filter all kind of impressions with their mind, but when you open yourself for images, smell, temperature and sounds, they elements will come intense in your mind. At the other hand he also likes to create walls of sound, just as a physical experience.
