The Large

The Large is a DJ/producer from Finland, born in 1980.
A friend of all good music - good music mostly being electronic in this case. The Large is making music since the mid-90s and is producing-wise nowadays biased more and more on the ambient material.
Some airplay on the Finnish National Broadcasting Company's special shows on the radio was performed. Also he collaborates with DJ Tom Holm in their joint project "Exit to Eternal Slacking".
The Large is constantly seeking for new, fresh sounds and ideas to evolve the direction of his productions.
The aim being to make enjoyable art in every form, for everyone. Perfection cannot be reached, but it may be a distant goal - in your drug-indulged dreams, at least!

The same melancholic and introversive looped sound constructions are inserted in unevenly pulsating claustrophobic ambient spaces. Spaces where sound winds were caught and locked. The winds which cast in your face sometimes heap of rustling noises, sometimes scraps of somebody's conversation...

Stairs... Winding staircases leading sometimes upwards, sometimes downwards. The way repeated over and over again. The way without end and without beginning...

Finnish experimental project The Large presents new work fully constructed on psychedelic electronic loops interwoven with each other. It consists of four shaky and intricate structures with ambient inclusions which accentuate emotional line of the album - contemplation, estrangement, sadness and calm.

Finnish artist The Large who previously took part in successful compilation "Could We Live Forever?" now makes its debut on DNA Production with the album "Cabaret Obscure".
This work presents ambient side of the project: sometimes it's nervous, gothic and sombre, sometimes - melancholic and contemplative.

Various Artists - Could We Live Forever?

DNA Production continues to release compilations and present a new one called "Could We Live Forever?". This work was done in traditional drone-ambient style with influences of dark-ambient, experimental and isolationism.
Seven projects contributed tracks for this compilation: "Ices Ov", "Raspad Atoma", "t_error 404" and "Kromeshna" from Russia, "CrepusculaR" from Argentina, "Bagryanii Schliach" from Ukraine and "The Large" from Finland.
All tracks are composed in different manner but each track gives its own answer for the aforementioned question: "could we live forever?"
The choice is yours, whether it is cold denial in "Ultima Thule", aloof silence of "Monochrome Snow" or sad grin in "Metamorphosing"...
